MY 2025 READING GOALS

I have always considered myself a bit of a bookworm; admittedly, however, the reading bug has ebbed and flowed a bit more as an adult. It was reading ACOTAR last year, that sparked my excitement to get lost in new stories again and re-kindled my love for reading. I’ve ended up buying so many new books last year, on top of already having a huge ‘To Read’ list in the first place, and even splurged on a new Kindle. I’m well and truly set up for choice with this years reading challenge and have given myself the goal of reading 35 Books. I only managed to read 17 books last year, but I’ve got so many on my bookshelf I can’t wait to dip my toes into, that I think I’ll achieve my goal for 2025. I’ve also signed up to Audible again as my new favourite hobby is crocheting, and I’d like to start listening to some audiobooks instead of watching tv, as I work away on my projects.

In no particular order, I wanted to share which books I’ve chosen so far for my ‘To Read’ list this year. If you count along, you’ll realise there are more that 35 books mentioned, but there were just too many to choose from. I’ve been drawn to all these books for different reasons and as the year goes on I’ll be interested to see which ones I gravitate to first. I’d love to hear if you’ve read any and what you thought (no spoilers though please) or what books might be on your ‘To Read’ lists. If you’re on Goodreads – let’s connect!

  1. I started Throne of Glass and it was really good but then I got distracted 🤣 embarrassed to say I haven’t read any of the other books you’ve mentioned. I hope you have your best reading year yet and that the majority are amazing reads! You’ve got this 😊✨️💗

    1. Thanks – I’m currently in my ‘let’s get going I’m so excited for all these books’ phase aha – I just hope the momentum lasts and I manage to get through them all :p Ahw you’ll have to pick it back up again. I’m eager to see how it compares to her other two series 🙂 xo

  2. Good luck with your goal. You have lots of intriguing books on your list so I’m sure you can do it 🥰 I loved the whole Throne Of Glass series and King Of Scars duology. I also enjoyed Castellane (just as a heads up it can feel a bit overwhelming to keep track of initially but once I got into the story & world I was hooked).

Getting into audiobooks to listen to whilst crocheting is a wonderful idea. I’m hoping to do the same for when I cross stitch.

How did you find Verity? I was recently told that it has an adaptation out later this year and own the ebook so really must get on with it soon 😂

    1. Thank you – I’m really enjoying being in my book and crochet era at the moment haha – it’s bringing me a lot of joy. And yes cross stitching is another great activity to do whilst listening to audiobooks!

I really enjoyed Verity – it was a very short read for me too, so it shouldn’t take you long. But ooh I didn’t know and adaptation was coming out – that’ll be interesting for sure! xo

      1. I’m glad to hear it 🥰 managing to craft and read at the same time sounds like the perfect combination.

Thanks for letting me know, I’m glad you enjoyed it 😊 I didn’t either until someone told me. It’s got Anne Hathaway in it too so I have high hopes
